New rules regarding covering the windows of vehicles come into force from tomorrow.According to the new rules, it is allowed to put a film on the upper part of the front windshield of vehicles against the wind at the height of the sun visor installed by the manufacturer and if sun visors are not constructed in the vehicles, it should not be more than 15 cm.
Also, it is allowed to put the following covers on the side windows of the vehicles located behind the driver, the side windows and the rear windows of the trunk:
- In passenger cars - to apply a film or install blinds;
- In trucks, buses, minibuses, trolleybuses and trams - to apply a film (except for buses and minibuses used in passenger transport activities) install blinds or hang curtains.
Except as provided in this rule, it is not allowed to cover the windshields of vehicles, as well as the windows of the front doors located on the left and right of the driver.
If the vehicle has the external rear-view mirrors on both sides, there is no limit on the light transmission capacity of the covers applied to the upper part of the windshield of vehicles against the wind, to the side windows located behind the driver, to the side windows of the cargo area and to the rear windows of vehicles.
The film should be applied to the windows from the inside, blinds and curtains are also should be installed on the windows from the inside.
We would like to inform all drivers that violation of the rule regarding covering the windows of vehicles leads to criminal liability in accordance with the procedure established by the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
