Recommendations of the Main State Traffic Police Department regarding the expected situation on the highways of the republic due to the end of non-working days.

06.01.2023
In the first week of the new year, the sequence of holidays and non-working days on the weekend indicates that the intensity of traffic from the capital to the regions and vice versa will increase significantly in the coming days. From the point of view of safety, as well as to ensure that the predicted congestion does not affect the festive mood of road users, it is important that drivers and passengers preparing for the trip follow some recommendations.

Drivers who prepare for the journey should pay attention to the safety of their vehicles first and ensure that not only themselves but also passengers wear seat belts while driving. It should not be forgotten that strict compliance with the speed regime, overtaking and maneuvering rules, and the correct evaluation of road and weather conditions are important conditions for safety.

Dear drivers, avoid sitting in the back of the car when you are sleepless and tired. When traveling long distances, take a short break after moving continuously every 2-3 hours and pay attention to the technical condition of your vehicle. For this, you can use the conditions created at the stationary posts of the STP located on the important national highways.

In order to reach their homes safely, we advise passengers to fulfill their legal duties, refrain from actions that distract the driver's attention, do not be indifferent to changes in their mood while driving, and do not be a participant in the process of illegal passenger transportation. The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs wishes every participant of the movement a happy and safe road in the new year!
