Recommendations for vehicle owners from the Main State Traffic Police Department
06.02.2024Many times, when utilizing a car wash or repair station, vehicle owners surrender their keys to the staff without knowing what happens to the property afterward. Sometimes such approaches make it possible for people working on the site to illegally use vehicles, usually young and not aware of the responsibility of their actions. This creates a real basis for the occurrence of traffic accidents, theft and misuse of property, which ultimately lead to death, injury or property damage. In addition, when bringing to justice persons who have committed administrative offenses against traffic rules using a vehicle that they are supposed to provide a service, decisions are made in relation to the vehicle that was the instrument or direct object of the unlawful act, and this means additional problems for the property owners. As a result, we advise vehicle owners to try to use repair or car wash stations as close to their home as feasible and to trust their vehicles to reputable, experienced individuals rather than just anybody they meet. Remember that occasionally ignoring an issue might have long-term, irreversible effects.
