Wearing a safety belt is a life saver
12.02.2024The safety belt, a component of the passive safety system, is still one of the most important tools for protecting drivers and passengers in modern cars, despite significant advancements in this field. It has been repeatedly demonstrated that drivers and passengers who use seat belts have less injuries in traffic accidents than those who do not. They survive because they are wearing their safety belts. We regret to inform you that 31.0 percent of those injured in traffic accidents and 32.1 percent of drivers and passengers killed did not use safety belts in 2023. According to legal requirements, the driver and passengers in a car are required to wear seat belts, with some exceptions. In addition, the driver must ensure that the vehicle's passengers have fastened their safety belts before driving. That is, at a minimum, the driver must warn passengers about this. When a driver successfully assists his passengers in fastening their seat belts, they not only comply with legal requirements but also shield themselves from any legal issues down the road. By fastening their seat belts, passengers also protect their own health and safety and relieve drivers of legal responsibility.
