Appeal of the Main State Traffic Police Department of the MIA to road participants
17.07.2021Currently, favorable conditions have been created for citizens to visit recreation centers in the regions due to hot weather and the summer season. Announcement of 4 subsequent non-working days due to the upcoming Eid will create conditions for city residents to visit regions and recreation centers there that traffic intensity on highways is hereby supposed to increase.
Regardless of regularly providing safety on the highways, taking monitoring-preventive measures in the direction of prevention of possible traffic accidents, warning drivers and pedestrians through television, radio and social networks by the STP agencies, unfortunately, there are still citizens who are indifferent to traffic rules, who do not take into account that ordinary carelessness and haste can lead to great tragedies.
The analysis of serious traffic accidents that have resulted in collisions with vehicles and pedestrians in recent days also show that the main reason of traffic accidents is non-compliance with the speed limit by some drivers, overtaking in the opposite lane, gross violations of maneuvering rules, not to choose the right distance for oncoming traffic, and most of all, driving while asleep or tired.
Be noted that pedestrians are also to blame for serious accidents that result in loss of life, especially in the dark. Unfortunately, the fact that pedestrians cross the road at night, moving onto the carriageway without realizing whether the driver of an oncoming vehicle saw them or not, often costs them their lives.
For citizens to reach their homes safely and spend the holiday in a good mood, the Main State Traffic Police Department recommends first of all to pay attention to the technical condition of the vehicle before leaving, to follow strictly rules across the roads, drivers as well as passengers to fasten their seat belts, not to sit behind the wheel when tired, sleepless, as well as to travel in automobiles with no cooling system in relatively cool times of the day.
We would like to remind you that the relevant condition have been created in the stationary posts of STP located on roads of national importance to stop the vehicle after 2-3 hours of continuous movement and rest for a short time.
We hope that every road participant will respond to this appeal thoughtfully, and strictly adhere to the traffic rules for ensuring safety of him/her, family members and others.
