Recommendations of the Main State Traffic Police Department!
07.05.2022Considering the relevance of recent discussions among the population on the use of coatings on the rear side windows of cars, especially the dissemination of confusing information in the internet media, we consider it necessary to bring some recommendations to the public attention.
First of all, it should be noted that according to the standard applied in our country, the light transmittance of the windshield in passenger cars should not be less than 75% for windshields and 70% for other non-windshields.
However, taking into account the climatic conditions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the use of industrial blinds on the rear side windows of vehicles is allowed from May 1 to November 15 each year.
According to the current legislation, only the rear windows of cars can be covered (curtains and film) or hung with industrial blinds and it is forbidden to apply coatings (curtains and films) on the windshield and other non-windshield windows.
Therefore, during the registration, as well as during the technical inspection, the technical condition of the vehicles and equipment must ensure compliance with the above standards and safety regulations.
